Office Cleaning Services in Indianapolis

Clean Offices, Flexible Schedules, and Owners Who Stay Involved

Your office is the first thing a client sees, and cleaning it is the last thing your team wants to think about. When it is clean, nobody mentions it. When it is not, everybody does. It usually starts with the breakroom, the restroom, or a conference room that still has yesterday’s coffee cups on the table before a 9 a.m. meeting.

Indy Cleaning Solutions has been cleaning offices across the Indianapolis metro for ten years. We are locally owned and family operated, with the crews and equipment to service large corporate buildings and the flexibility to handle a six-person professional suite. We are not a franchise. The owners are accountable for the crew in your building, and they are close enough to the work to catch problems before you have to point them out. Visit our About page to learn more about our company and its owners.

What Office Cleaning Covers

Office cleaning is what it sounds like: cleaning built around the spaces an office building has. Workstations and open floor areas, conference rooms, reception and lobby space, private offices, breakrooms, and restrooms. Each of those spaces gets used, and gets dirty, in its own way. A program that treats them all the same is how an office ends up with a spotless lobby and a breakroom nobody wants to eat in.

The service can run on any schedule you need, from five nights a week down to every other week. If you are mainly looking for how recurring contract cleaning works (how scopes are written, how frequency is set, how supplies and quality control are handled), our janitorial services page covers that side in more depth. This page is about the office itself.

Our Office Cleaning Services

Every office is different, so every scope is built from a walkthrough of your space. These are the areas that scope is assembled from.

Workstations and Open Office Areas

Open floor areas take the heaviest daily traffic and show wear the fastest. Standard service includes vacuuming carpet, including edges and under desks where possible, dust mopping and damp mopping hard floors, emptying and relining individual and shared waste bins, dusting horizontal surfaces, wiping partition tops and cubicle ledges, and cleaning interior glass and door hardware.

We also sanitize the surfaces people touch all day: light switches, desk phones, door handles, and shared printers, copiers, and equipment.

A note on desks, because this is where most offices have friction with their cleaning company. You tell us how you want it handled and we follow it exactly. Some clients want us to dust and wipe around whatever is on the desk, leaving papers and personal items untouched. Others set the expectation internally that a desk cleared at the end of the day gets fully wiped down, and a cluttered one gets left alone. Both work. What does not work is guessing, which is how paperwork ends up rearranged and someone ends up unhappy.

We generally do not clean keyboards. That is deliberate. Liquid near a keyboard is an easy way to damage equipment that is not ours, and the risk is not worth the benefit. If you want them handled, tell us and we will work out an approach that protects your equipment.

Conference and Meeting Rooms

Conference rooms are judged by whoever walks into them next, and that is often a client. Tables wiped and streak-free, chairs wiped and pushed in, whiteboards cleaned when you want them cleaned, glass walls and interior windows cleaned, trash and recycling pulled, carpet vacuumed, hard floors mopped, and the room reset to a presentable default.

Reception Areas and Lobbies

This is the first impression, and it is the one space in an office where a missed night is immediately visible. Entry glass and door hardware cleaned and spot-free, reception counters and seating wiped down, entry mats vacuumed or replaced, floors cleaned to match the surface, and trash removed. We pay particular attention to entry glass. Handprints at eye level are the most noticeable thing in any office lobby.

Private Offices and Executive Suites

Private offices get the same task list as the open floor (vacuuming, dusting, trash, sanitizing touch points, glass and interior windows) with the same desk arrangement you set for the rest of the building. These rooms are cleaned quietly and carefully, and paperwork left out stays exactly where the occupant left it.

Breakrooms and Kitchens

The breakroom is one of the most often complained about space in any office and the fastest to deteriorate when a cleaning company starts cutting hours. Tables and chairs wiped and sanitized, counters and backsplashes cleaned, sinks scrubbed, appliance exteriors degreased, microwave interiors cleaned, trash pulled and containers sanitized on rotation, and floors swept and mopped, including under and behind tables where crumbs collect.

Office Restrooms

Office restrooms get the same full disinfection, restock, and color-coded tool separation we run on every account, so nothing from the restroom touches your desks or breakroom. The whole restroom process, fixtures through consumables, is on our janitorial services page. What changes in an office is traffic. We set frequency by headcount and hours, not square footage. A 40-person office does not get the same schedule as a warehouse with the same floor plan.

Office Floor and Carpet Care

Routine floor care is part of every office scope. Vacuuming, dust mopping, damp mopping, spot treatment of spills, and entry mat service to catch grit before it gets tracked across the building. Done consistently, this is what protects the floor, because the abrasive soil that destroys carpet fiber is the soil sitting on the surface for weeks.

When your floors need more than routine maintenance, we handle hot water extraction, low-moisture encapsulation, strip and wax, and high-speed burnishing. Many office clients fold periodic floor restoration into their contract, so it happens on schedule instead of turning into a separate bidding process every year. Our floor maintenance page covers the full range.

Daytime Support

Offices with staffed lobbies, steady client traffic, or heavy conference room turnover sometimes need someone on site during the business day: restrooms kept stocked, spills handled as they happen, conference rooms reset between meetings, common areas kept presentable while the building is full. We offer day porter service alongside regular office cleaning, and the two work well together.

Offices We Clean

Corporate and Single-Tenant Office Buildings

Full-building accounts where you control the entire space: open floor plans, private offices, multiple conference rooms, staffed reception, and employee breakrooms. These are the accounts where consistency matters most, because there are enough spaces that a crew cutting corners can hide it for a while.

Small Professional Suites

Law offices, accounting firms, insurance agencies, real estate offices, financial advisors, and similar practices across Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, and Greenwood. Smaller offices often get treated as an afterthought by larger cleaning companies: quoted quickly, serviced inconsistently, then dropped when a bigger account comes along. We take them seriously, and we have no minimum square footage.

Office Areas Inside Manufacturing and Industrial Facilities

Front offices, administrative areas, engineering and design space, conference rooms, and employee breakrooms inside plants and industrial buildings. These spaces have a particular problem: they sit inside a facility where the cleaning standard is set by the production floor, and the office area quietly gets held to that same standard even though clients and job candidates are walking through it.

We clean the office portion to a real office standard while working around plant operations, shift schedules, and site safety requirements. If you want the production areas addressed as well, that is a separate conversation and we are happy to have it.

How We Work in Your Office

Schedules Built Around How Your Office Is Used

Most offices no longer run five full days with everyone in the building. If your team is in Tuesday through Thursday and the office is nearly empty Monday and Friday, paying for five nights of cleaning is paying to clean empty rooms. We build the schedule around your occupancy: three nights matched to your in-office days, five nights if that is what the building needs, or something in between.

Timing is equally flexible. Most of our office accounts are cleaned in the evening after staff leave. Some prefer early morning before the office opens. Some want daytime cleaning while the office is occupied, which works well in smaller suites and in offices where an after-hours crew would be a security complication. We work around your hours.

Building Access and Alarms

We routinely work in offices where our crews are issued a key, a key fob, or a badge, and in buildings where the crew disarms the alarm system on arrival and arms it again on the way out. Access credentials are assigned to specific employees, tracked, and returned when someone leaves your account. We have accounts with specific access instructions that differ from one another but we always make sure everyone is comfortable with the process before any action is taken.

Our crews are trained to leave the building the way they found it: lights off, doors locked, alarm set. If your building has a specific closing procedure, it becomes part of the written scope so the crew is not relying on memory.

Staff You Can Have in Your Building

Our office cleaners are W-2 employees of Indy Cleaning Solutions, not subcontractors. Every employee is background checked and trained on our procedures before working an account. We carry $2,000,000 in aggregate general liability coverage along with full workers’ compensation and commercial auto insurance, and we provide certificates of insurance to your building or property manager on request.

This is worth asking about when you compare bids. A large share of office cleaning in this market is performed by franchisees or subcontracted crews, which means the company you signed may not be the company in your office at 9 p.m. With us, it is.

A Written Scope and Real Inspections

You get a written scope of work spelling out what gets done, how often, and on what rotation: nightly tasks, weekly tasks, monthly tasks, quarterly tasks. When a cleaning company underbids a job, the shortfall shows up as tasks quietly disappearing, and without a written scope there is nothing to point at.

We inspect your office in person after the first few cleans, while habits are still forming and small problems are easy to fix. Once the account is running properly, inspections move to a quarterly cadence, and we will come out any time in between if something needs attention. You will not be routed through a national call center to get that visit.

We typically start within about two weeks of a signed agreement, depending on the size of the account and crew scheduling. Our agreements run annually with a thirty-day cancellation provision, so you are never stuck with a service that stopped performing.

Areas We Serve

Indy Cleaning Solutions provides office cleaning throughout Indianapolis and the surrounding Central Indiana communities. Our core service area includes Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Avon, Plainfield, Noblesville, Westfield, and Zionsville, and we also serve Speedway, Brownsburg, Danville, Mooresville, Bargersville, Greenfield, New Palestine, and Shelbyville.

That footprint covers Marion County, Hamilton County, Hendricks County, Johnson County, Boone County, Hancock County, and Shelby County. If your office sits just outside that area, call us anyway. Depending on the size of the account and our routing, we can often make it work.

Frequently Asked Questions About Office Cleaning

A standard office cleaning scope covers trash and recycling removal, vacuuming and mopping, dusting, sanitizing high-touch surfaces such as light switches, phones, and door handles, cleaning interior glass and entry doors, full restroom cleaning and restocking, and breakroom cleaning. Conference rooms and reception areas are reset to a presentable condition. Beyond the regular visit, detail work like high dusting, vents, baseboards, and interior windows runs on a rotating schedule. Every scope is written for your office after a walkthrough.

Recurring office cleaning in the Indianapolis area generally falls between $0.12 and $0.20 per square foot per month for standard office space at a typical frequency. A small professional suite might run $400 to $900 per month, while a 10,000-20,000 square foot office on a five-night schedule typically lands in the $1,800 to $6,500 range. Smaller offices usually price higher per square foot because there is a fixed amount of labor in servicing any space. These are general planning figures rather than quotes, and we price every office after an on-site walkthrough.

That is your call, and we follow whatever you set. Some offices want us to dust and wipe around whatever is on the desk and leave papers and personal items alone. Others tell their team that a cleared desk gets fully wiped down while a cluttered one gets skipped. Both approaches work. We generally do not clean keyboards, since liquid near a keyboard risks damaging equipment that is not ours. If you want them addressed, tell us and we will work out an approach that protects your equipment.

Both, depending on what works for your office. Most of our office accounts are cleaned in the evening after staff have gone home, so the work never interferes with your day. Some offices prefer early morning service before opening. Some, particularly smaller suites and offices where after-hours access is a security complication, prefer daytime cleaning while the space is occupied. Offices with staffed lobbies or heavy client traffic sometimes add day porter support during business hours on top of regular cleaning.

We routinely work in offices where our crews carry a key, key fob, or badge, and in buildings where the crew disarms the alarm on arrival and arms it again on the way out. Access credentials are assigned to specific employees, tracked, and returned when someone comes off your account. Every cleaner is a background-checked W-2 employee, and if your building has a specific closing procedure it becomes part of the written scope so nobody is relying on memory. We also carry $2,000,000 in aggregate general liability coverage and provide certificates of insurance on request.

It depends more on how your office is used than on square footage. Offices with full daily occupancy and shared restrooms usually need three to five visits per week. If your team works a hybrid schedule and the building is busy Tuesday through Thursday, three nights matched to those days is often the right answer, and paying for five is paying to clean empty rooms. Smaller professional suites with light traffic frequently do fine on one or two visits per week. We will tell you what your office needs, including when that is less than you expected.

Most office accounts start within about two weeks of a signed agreement. Account size and crew scheduling drive the timeline, and the walkthrough is the first step, since the written scope and the agreement come out of it. Have a deadline, like a lease start or a switch away from a service that has stopped showing up? Tell us at the walkthrough and we will give you a straight answer on whether we can hit it.
